CATCH UP......

Since I am at a scrapbooking weekender, I obviously have to catch up on my blog. I have put the scrapbooking supplies down and moved into the future of Blogging. As I look around the room at all of the paper, cropped pictures, miniature machines that look like they are about to launch into outer space, and the occasional beer bottle I wonder why I am the only smart person here. I have a lap top, camara, and bag of much needed chocolate. Nothing more...this is the way to go!! Thank you Andrea for introducing me to this wonderful technology!

Here is a rare glimpse of how much these two little girls actually love eachother!!!
So the following posts are a catch up!!!!!

Thanks Sarah!!

Heres a shout out for the Voyager program at Ferry Elementary. The girls want to Thank Sarah for the t-shirts she brought them!!!

SUPERGIRLS!!

Have no fear...my supergirls are here!

This is a new one at our house, they run around with their capes and save the baby dolls from the evil, sinister brother.

More Birthday Wishes!!

For Madisons birthday with Chads side of the family we went up north to the cottage!! A nice relaxing weekend with family, what more could you ask for!! In fact it was so relaxing we never even did the whole cake thing! Needless to say Grandma and Grandpa had a lot of cake to eat!

Here we are "helping" Grandpa put together the entertainment center.

Happy Birthday Madison!!

This past weekend we had Madisons birthday party. It is so hard to believe she is seven already, the time completely gets away from me!

Madison is definitely my "challenge" child. She acts so grown up at such a young age. Even the way she moves around the house, it's like shes sixteen. Sometimes I don't think she even knows shes doing it!!

Normally I don't get all sappy, but lately I can feel my little kids growing up WAY too fast. I want to hold on to these moments forever!! Anyways, here are some pics from the party we had with my side of the fam!

We had given Madison "High school Musical Sing It" for the wii, and yes this is Chad Jammin to "Keep your Head in the Game"!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MADISON, WE ALL LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Alabama Fun!

Well the boys are finally home! I am not quite sure who had more fun, Connor or Chad!? They spent their days either hunting or fishing. And from what I hear, the food is pretty good down there as well.

Heres the score card:

Chad..one coyote

Kevin- nice buck

Connor...doe

Kevin/Connor...nice 8 point, story goes... two shots... one hole...

DJ.. Sorry DJ I have no idea what you ended up with?
Not too much "hunting" going on here?

Heres some pics of the hunting camp. I think I'll stick to a Caribean cruise!!

It is soo nice to have them home and to get back to normal! And to have my camera back too!!

No camera Withdraw

So here we are with tons of things to blog and I don't have a camera!! Chad and Connor have taken the camera to Alabama with them, which is good because I will have lots of cool pics from that adventure when they get home. But in the mean time me and the girls have been doing some pretty fun, blogable things.
Last night we went over to Aunt Marys house for her birthday, and today I was a totally "bad" mom and let the girls stay home from school for an all day girls day!
What can I say, I totally missed them and needed to spend some time with them!
We started the day out with some yummy pancakes in bed!(insert picture)

Then, what would a girls day be without shopping, so we headed to Rivertown. We were soooo disapointed that Libby lu was closing, so we went to the Disney store, Limited too, and Build a bear. I was totally busted by a mom of a little girl in Madisons class, not to mention the fact I was suppose to volunteer this morning WITH her. What are the chances....yup pretty much felt like an idiot!

We decided it was the girls' build a bears Birthday today so we had to buy them a new outfit. We planned out the party for tonight and stopped at the grocery store to buy a brownie mix, ice cream, sprinkles, and party hats!
The girls had ALL of their stuffed animals invited to the big party! They wrapped their presents and we all sang Happy birthday!(insert picture that I don't have)
We just finished up our sprinkles with a little bit of brownie and ice cream on the side, and now we are going to enjoy a movie!

Sorry again for the no picture thing.....I'm thinking I need to go borrow my moms camera for the week!

Presidential ball......"drop"

Tonight I was putting the girls to bed when Madison, king of all stall tactics, said:
" Mom, I wanted to stay up and watch the presidential ball drop, just like on new years eve"

I tried to explain to her that it wasn't like the ball dropping on new years eve, and that it was a dance that they go to called a ball.

She insisted it was a ball dropping.......Mr. Ashby told her so.
He also told her to stay up late to watch it? hmmmmm....

Needless to say Madison is in bed and will not get to watch the ball drop tonight.

Finally fell off...

Well Megans third eye finally fell off. They said it would take about 10 days to fall off on its own, I would say it was more like 14 days and the help of her brother peeling it off. Of course Megan had to put the glue scab in her backpack to show her teachers, I am sure they were very excited!! As you can see it looks almost like normal, hopefully in a few weeks you won't even notice her "ding"!

What to do....

Another weekend has flown by!! Since we were all cooped up inside what better thing to do than to do our nails!! Definitely a girl filled weekend! Connor had a birthday party on Saturday and went right from that to a sleep over at his cousin Chase and Logans house! Me and the girls played wii, watched movies and did our nails!

Sometimes I hate living way out in the country, but here is one reason it can be nice! They have been showing up at our house all weekend! Good thing Daddy got his fill this hunting season!

" Rocky"

It took me awhile to get this posted because Chad had my camera at work! But what would a christmas vacation be without a trip to the ER?!?

The last day of Vacation Megan was getting into the truck and went to shut the door and fell out. She fell right on a rock and it made a hole in her forehead!!

After getting the bleeding down we were off to the emergency room. 3 hours, and watching a marathon of Totally Drama Island later, they finally had her all "glued" up. They did that instead of stitches to make less of a scar. I guess we'll see when it falls off in a few days!

If I only knew what that meant?

This morning I was getting the kids up for school, and as it usually goes, no one wanted to get up. After trying to pry Megan out for about 15 minutes, I moved on to my next victim, Madison. I started to try and get her to wake up, when she yells at me
"would you take a number and wait your turn"
I would just love to know what that little girl was dreaming about! I tried to ask her, even by telling her about my dream about being able to ride a donkey and then they charged me 50 bucks!
She refused, so as I sit and wonder, I am just going to go with the idea of she was working at the deli of the supermarket....... yup I'm pretty sure that was it!

Christmas 2008

Once again we have had quite a busy but blessed holiday season.

Christmas Eve we spent with my side of the family. We had a feast of Fricanos pizza!! The boys were finally able to open their night vision goggles!! The camera was forgotten, so sorry no pictures for that party!

On Christmas morning we woke up, found out santa had been quite the little piggy. The kids could not believe that santa had eaten ALL of the cookies, I really did not find that to be a very big deal!

After a yummy breakfast we spent the next couple hours with just the five of us as a family. We had gotten the kids a Wii. They were VERY surprised!!

After perfecting our skills at bowling and Tennis we were off to my grandmas house. My girls call her the 90 one, because she is ninety years old!!

We had a wonderful time, thank you Jen for always thinking, and bringing things to make gingerbread houses!! Not sure how much of the candy actually made it onto the gingerbread houses!!

After a very "busy" night, we headed up north to have Christmas with Chads side of the family!!
Whats a trip to the cottage without going by the lake?!

The next day we told the kids we were headed to Meijers, in reality we were going to Great Wolf Lodge. This was their present from Grandma and Grandpa!
Of course Connor was not looking forward to a trip to Meijers. He absolutely HATES to shop. So after 20 questions of how long is it going to take, do I have to go, why can't I just stay at the cottage, we always have to go get groceries, we were off. We did actually have to go to Meijers, afterwards everyone was totally surprised when we went into Great Wolf Lodge!! Well worth the little shopping trip!! A blast was had by all!! Hopefully they don't expect that every time we go get groceries!!

The next few days were nothing but Laziness heaven!!!
Thanks to all our families and friends for making this a wonderful Christmas, we definitely have a lot to be thankful for!
